Mass Extinction Art Exhibition
This exhibition explores the topic of climate grief, and more specifically grief related to biodiversity loss.
Wildlife populations have declined by 73% in the past 50 years. Our current culture lacks space for experiencing this loss on an emotional and rational level. The exhibition aims to give a space for artists and audiences to dive into feelings related to this huge loss.
This is done on the presupposition that honouring this pain - as opposed to blocking or dissociating from these natural emotions - enables us to move forward, to see with new eyes, and to be moved to act (see J. Macy & C. Johnston, Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We’re in Without Going Crazy).
Stay tuned for the schedule, and mark the date!
Admission: €5. The money goes to artists, organisers and Grounded. Grounded is a 100% volunteer-run collective and with your support, we will be able to continue giving people the opportunity to create and contribute to value-based initiatives that celebrate a tangible, sustainable culture.
