Poetics of Nature
Fergus is a sustainability researcher who is passionate about the potential of ecopoetry to restore our connection to the Earth and enfranchise nature into democracy. Concerned that modern politics is barking up the wrong tree, he believes that developing an art of listening could be essential to understanding the political needs of both humans and the natural world. But listening to nature isn’t as easy as it seems – luckily, ecopoetry can be a beautiful, creative and powerful means of communing with the non-human world. In this workshop, you’ll be encourage to consider your relationship with nature, to listen to the Earth and to co-create your own ecopoetry in tandem with the environment.
